Carol SwanI am an Australian-based artist who loves to share the joy of decorative painting. You may think you can’t paint - but you can! It’s just a matter of learning a few tricks.
I work across media, whether it’s traditional Japanese sumi-e brush painting, watercolours or bold acrylic creations. And I’m always on-the-go, travelling around the country for workshops and seminars. I’m also an active member of Chroma Australia’s Teacher Support program.
I firmly believe that painting is good for the soul - and anybodycan do it.

    Well, Arlene found you and sent me your web site.
    So very happy to view your work and have lots of fond memories of our trip to Germany; esp. your story of the Japanese family bathing!
    How wonderful to see how you and Arlene are working dilengently at the craft. I have shelved my painting for a while but will be getting back.

    Thank you for the lovely commentsthat , it was lovely to write that about me. I haven’t forgetton about the painting I thought I would give it to you in person if I have time. Love your new paintings. Looking at the dolphins riding the waves makes you feel like you want to play and be free.Keep up the great painting. love your tips . I am going to give it to my students.

    Hi Carol. I have just stumbled across your website and found it absolutely beautiful. Viewing all your students enjoying their work. I am a member of the Marion Art Group and really enjoy painting. I have only been doing it since I retired 4 years ago. I thought that I couldn’t paint like so many people, but to my surprise I have turned out a couple of quite good paintings, not up to your standard, but I am trying all the time.Loved all the work in the video. Wish you were in Adelaide to give us a workshop. Well done. Jill.
